I am an aspiring author who loves to write and have published several short stories in magazines and newspapers. I have also written novels in various genres, excerpts from which you will see here frequently. I welcome other writers to contact me for the chance to publish their works and participate in competitions. I am also a member of the Wordsmiths group that meets in Alliston, Ontario and will share the spotlight with short stories and poems from my peers. You too can be one of my guest authors.

Hello everyone,

Welcome to frosty mornings and darker days…and don’t forget to put your clocks back one hour tonight. We have some interesting contributions this week…beginning with a non-fiction, historical account of the infamous Guy Fawkes and his attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament. This is one of the few stories that I have left to share from our dear friend Mike Crompton, who is no longer with us. The story is titled “November 5th.”.

Then a beautiful and delicate poem from Angela van Breemen, simply titled “Autumn”, followed by a story from me about different superstitions and where and when they possibly originated. This is titled “Superstitions”.
