Month: December 2021

Week of December 27th.

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had enough turkey over the last two days. Well, we have a new batch of stories and poems for you to enjoy. Thanks to Mary Penner, Angela van Breemen and Angie Rose-Carnegie. And one from me…

Check out the ‘news and current events’ page. There is a free workshop by Bruce Meyer coming up in January. You won’t want to miss this one if you write, either as a hobby or are serious about it. There is another workshop offered by Brian Henry on how to write for children or young adults, also in January. All the information and how to contact them is on the blog.

I want to tell you again about a website that I follow, called authorspublish.com. Right now there are 13 lectures by published authors being offered and you can download them free of charge. I will be forwarding the email to my Wordsmiths group. If you are not in the Wordsmiths’ group but would like the email sent to you please let me know at brendashort@writingblog.ca – subject The Writer’s Workshop.

I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year. May the coming year be kinder to us than this one has been.
