Hello everyone,
Summer is glorious this year. Hot, hot days, but just enough rain to keep the garden green and healthy. I hope you are all enjoying it. I have some fun stories for you this week. First, there is a holiday story from Dian Bowers who went to Cuba and found treasure, titled “A Find With Consequences”. Then a fun poem from Angela van Breemen about a cardboard box, titled “Oh, Look a Box!”. Then another fairy story from me. Well…after all, it is fairy month. The story is titled, “The Empty Nest”.
Finally, two micro stories. The first is a slice of life from Robert O’Meara, titled “The Butcher”, and the second is a rant from Deb Rouleau, titled “IMHO – In My Honest Opinion”.
Send me your short stories of 50 words and up to 200 words to brendashort@writingblog.ca to be featured on the Short, short stories page. If you are interested to join a writer’s group, contact Kim Burgess at kimburgess@ntpl.ca, or Dian Bowers at dianandgary@gmail.com.
Tell me what’s been happening with your summer and please send your comments for this week’s authors to brendashort@writingblog.ca
