Short’s Shorts blog for November 5th.

Hello everyone,

Welcome to frosty mornings and darker days…and don’t forget to put your clocks back one hour tonight. We have some interesting contributions this week…beginning with a non-fiction, historical account of the infamous Guy Fawkes and his attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament. This is one of the few stories that I have left to share from our dear friend Mike Crompton, who is no longer with us. The story is titled “November 5th.”.

Then a beautiful and delicate poem from Angela van Breemen, simply titled “Autumn”, followed by a story from me about different superstitions and where and when they possibly originated. This is titled “Superstitions”.

I hope you enjoy these offerings and don’t forget to send you comments for the authors.

If you have a holiday story to share or a six-word story, please send it to me at brendashort@writingblog.ca for a chance to be published.
