Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is just around the corner.  This year, let’s honour all those unspoken heroes that have molded our daily lives with a verse or two.

Is there a role model in your life?  Do you have a special memory of your mother or grandmother?  Do you have a neighbour or friend who is worthy of recognition?  Write a story or poem about them, or of your own experiences as a mother? 

Submit an email to brendashort@writingblog.ca by April 30^th for a chance to win $20.  No entry fee and you keep your copyright, but your entry may be published on writingblog.ca in the month of May.

Submit in a word document, Times New Roman font 14. Attach to your email.  If exceeding 1500 words, they may be serialized. Poems up to six stanzas or 30 lines.

International entries welcome.  In the case of a winner, prize money would be converted.
