Hello everyone,
Happy Canada Day! I was fortunate to have several fireworks displays in my neighbourhood last night. I stood at the door and watched them from inside my fly screen, safe from mosquitos. I have an aversion to mosquitos, but I just love fireworks! I hope you all had the chance to enjoy the festivities. And, I hope you enjoy this week’s stories too.
The first story is timely because this is the season for graduations and this is a Lovey and Lass story about their grandson’s graduation experience. It’s written by me and is appropriately titled “The Graduation.” The poem this week is one of the challenges faced by all writers, written by Mary Penner and titled “Fear”.
The micro-stories this week are humorous, beginning with the search for something lost, written by Deb Mourneau and titled, Tock Tock. The second is another story about something lost, written by Michelle Dinnick and titled “You Can Still Achieve Checkmate.”
If you enjoy the stories, please take a moment to write a comment to me, and if you would like to be an Alpha reader, contact me at brendashort@writingblog.ca

Hey Bren;
You can add me to the Alpha Reader’s list as long as I have long enough to read the offering.
