Short’s Shorts blog for Sept 10th

Hello everyone,

My hummingbird feeder is still very busy, but I’m noticing a lot of tiny ones visiting too – lots of babies this year. Also, a healthy number of wasps are busy gathering nectar on the feeder at this time of year. This week’s stories begin with a thought-provoking submission from Angie Rose Carnegie, titled “Stones and Nails and Gems.” Then a poem that also promotes thought and discussion about a possible bleak future ahead from Angela van Breemen, titled “What Do You See?”

Then we move into the facts of life with a cute story by Deb Rouleau, titled “The Birds and the Bees.” Followed by a man’s love for his family and his sacrifice to look after them, written by Robert O’Meara and titled “Two For One.”

Finally, a lovey and lass story that will hopefully lift your spirits, written by myself and titled, “Lucy.”

Don’t forget to send your comments for the authors and if you would like to contribute a story or poem, send it to brendashort@writingblog.ca
