The results are in. The winner of the Mother’s Day writing competition, receiving a $20 prize and a certificate is Joanne Jordan with her poem The Vintage Dress. 2nd place runner-up receiving a certificate was Dian Bowers with her story Through a Child’s Eyes. 3rd place runner-up receiving a certificate was Mary Penner with her story Happy Mother’s Day. It was a very close competition and I thank all those who participated. You can read these stories on writingblog.ca.
Other contributions this week include the fourth episode in the Sally Tango murder mystery story chain, written by Tammy Tipler-Priolo and a story from myself entitled Celestial Intervention. Hope you enjoy reading with us. If you have missed any episodes of Sally Tango, you can find them in the Archives (new on the drop-down menu) under Story Chains. The Archives section is under construction right now but should make it easier to find previously featured material.

Firstly, I want to thank Brenda for putting our work out there, thus encouraging us to keep writing.
Also, I wish to thank the judges for their comments. I greatly appreciate the feedback as it helps me
to be a better writer.
Thank you, Mary. Your work is unique and timeless. Bren
